Determination of compacting factor concrete by C.F apparatus to measure the workability of concrete.
1.      Eqpt/Materials
The compacting factor apparatus complete steel trowels scoop tamping rod or vibrating
Machine weighing balance.
2.      Procedure
a.       The sample of conferee to the fasted shall be placed gently in the upper hopper using the scoop unit the hopper is filled.
b.      Then the trap door shall be opened immediacy after the filling so that the conferee falls into the lower hopper.
c.       The trap door of lower hopper is opened and the concrete is allowed to fail in to the cylinder.
d.      The Weight of concrete in the cylinder shall the be determined to the realest of 10 gram. This weight shall be known as the weight of partially compacted concrete.
e.       Now put the cylinder on the vibrating machine and start vibration.
f.       The cylinder shall then be filled with conferee from the sample, so as to obtain full compaction.
g.      The weight of concrete in the cylinder shall again be determine to the nearest of 10 grams. This weight shall be known as ,, The weight of fully compaction concrete,,
h.      Calculate the compacting factor from:
CF= partially compaction concrete fully compacted concrete.
3.      Detailed of reading and obsns/data to be recorded.
a.         Water cement ration                            =
b.         Mix proportion                                    =
c.         Weight of cylindrical Mold                =          31.45 gm
d.         Volume of cylindrical Mold               =          5000 mi

4.      The Performa / Format for prep with record of obsns data with notes to help completion

5.      Interpretation / collation of the obsns reading graphs,  et leading to results.
To be done with the standard specification of ASTM and B.S
