PESHAWAR: At least 40 people were killed and more than 100 injured in a blast near Khan Raziq police station in Qissa Khawani bazaar of Peshawar, Geo News reported.
Police have confirmed the blast and said the it occurred in a vehicle, parked near the police station.
Rescues and law enforcement agencies have rushed to the site of the blast.
Rescue sources have confirmed that more than 40 people including children were wounded and have been shifted to Leady Reading Hospital.
Several vehicles and adjacent buildings were damaged.
The blast occurred a week after a twin suicide blasts at a Church killed more than 80 people.
