Engr Waqar Ahmad, a young engineer from Pakistan has astonished the automobile and mechanical engineers by running a car on water. The car can be driven by a water based kit system instead of CNG or Petrol.
A demonstration and briefing about the water fuel car was organized at Pakistan Engineering Council on June 26, 2012.
A six member committee has been formed by Pakistan Engineering Council to evaluate and prepare report on feasibility of this new invention. Ministry of Science and Technology has desired a comprehensive report by 14th August, 2012.
I have run my own Suzuki Khyber for six months on water. It is environment friendly and gives better pick to the vehicle than petrol, said waqar.
The experts from NUST, Atomic Energy, Ministry of Science and Technology, Pakistan Engineering Council, Engineering Development Board, National University of Science and Technology (NUST) and representatives of Toyota and Suzuki motors in Pakistan were present during the demonstration.
